History of Taiwan Soda Aromatic

1970

Established on February 23rd

1980

The company's factory was moved from Luzhou to its current location in Yizhu Township in Chiayi County. The factory began operating in September, and continued producing Jasmin, Tuberose Concrete and other compound flavor.

1982

Started Tobacco Extract businesses.

1983

Ceased production of natural floral essential oils.

1987

Ceased production of Tobacco Extract, shifted focus towards flavor and fragrance.

1995

Established Taiso Aromatic Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore on November 5th.

Taiso Aromatic (Kunshan) was established through Asia Taiso 

Aromatic Inc. in Jiangsu Province’s Kunshan City (now renamed as Soda 

Aromatic (Kunshan) Co., Ltd.) on December 15th, marking the official 

entrance into the Chinese market.

1998

Company's capital increased to NTD$ 50 million.

1999

First introduction of a quality management system, which passed ISO 9000 certification for quality management systems

2011

Taipei Company moved from Tingzhou Road to Songjiang Road; its current office is approximately 561m2, and expanded its operations.

2013

Passed ISO22000 certification for food safety management systems

2016

Passed FSSC22000 and HACCP certification for food safety management systems.

2020

Passed the HALAL certification of MUI.

Established in 1970, Taiwan Soda Aromatic Co., Ltd. is a proud member of the Soda Aromatic Group, with a history dating back over a century in Japan. Initially specialized on natural fragrances such as jasmine essential oil, camphor oil, and citronella oil, the company has since expanded into the fragrance and flavor industry. Since venturing into the mainland China market in 1995, the company has continued to steady grow and success.


Our primary mission is to add value to our customers' products and contribute them in overcoming challenges by offering development, production, and sales a range of flavors and fragrances. Taiwan Soda Aromatic has been around for about 50 years and the company would like to sincerely thank all of our customers for their long-term support and patronage which make the company grow steadily on an annual basis and we would contribute towards society.

The company has been focused on the development of the domestic food and cosmetics market since its early years. In recent years, Taiwan Soda Aromatic has developed businesses in the Chinese market and actively expanded towards Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia markets. Every year, Taiwan Soda Aromatic puts in a lot of effort to research and develop flavor and fragrance, to explore domestic and overseas business opportunities, consumer preferences, strengthen company advantages, flexibly and smartly respond to customer and market needs as the company transforms and evolves.

In the future, the Taiwan Soda Aromatic hopes to enhance its international competitiveness through an innovative structure by combining outstanding talent (Taiwanese and foreign), and a complete industrial chain to create new niche markets amidst the trends of globalization.
